Trump evidence only appears on twitter.  And so, the “Leader of the Free World” found a way to be in an hearing which he did not attend.  His Twitter account entered in his place.  Luckily the witnesses were on hand to clarify everything.  FBI Director James Comey and National Security Agency Director Mike Rogers  explained the situation the supposed 16 million Trump followers.

Trump evidence asserted

Donald Trump’s official presidential twitter account tweeted, “The NSA and FBI tell Congress that Russia did not influence electoral process.”

This is a clear twist of the truth.  But, the way Trump shared the twitter video makes is look differently.

“Do you have any evidence that Russia’s cyber actors changed vote tallies in the state of Michigan?” House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes asked.

“No, I do not. But I would highlight we are a foreign intelligence organization, not a domestic intelligence organization, so it would be fair to say we are probably not the best organization to provide a more complete answer,” Rogers said.

The Trump evidence rests with this line of questioning.  Since there is no facts around Russia’s “hacking” of actual votes, the presidents assumes that there was not any Russian interference.  But, Trump evidence does not fully hold water.

The line of questioning about voter fraud

“How about the state of Pennsylvania?” Nunes asked.

“No, sir,” Rogers said.

“The state of Wisconsin? Nunes asked.

“No, sir,” Rogers said.

“State of Florida?” Nunes asked.

“No, sir,” Rogers said.

“State of North Carolina?” Nunes asked.

“No, sir,” Rogers said.

“State of Ohio?”

“No, sir,” Rogers said.

“So you have no intelligence that suggests or evidence that suggests any votes were changed?” Nunes asked.

“I have nothing generated by the National Security Agency, sir,” Rogers said.

“Director Comey, do you have any evidence that the FBI — that any votes were changed in the states that I mentioned to Admiral Rogers?

“No,” Comey responed.

Trump evidence or phony logic?

Russia is not part of that portion of the investigation.  For people tuning in to just a few questions, they may miss what the questions were asking.  The job of the FBI is to report fact, not opinion.

“Did the intelligence community ever do an analysis as to whether the dissemination of that adverse information in a closely fought election had any effect on the American electorate?” Rep. Jim Himes asked Rogers.

“No, sir. The U.S. intelligence community does not do assessments on U.S. policies or U.S. opinions,” Rogers said.

Trump evidence called to question

Enter Rep. Jim Himes.  He wanted answers about Trump’s tweets.  So, you addressed Comey and Rogers directly.

“So it’s not too far of a logical leap to conclude that the assertion that you told the Congress that there was no influence on the electoral process is not quite right?” Himes asked.

“It certainly wasn’t our intention to say that today because we don’t have any information on that subject. That’s not something that was looked at,” Comey replied.

“Right,” Rogers responded.  So the president appears to be only interested in halve truths and partial lies.   This may be why he so vehemently defended cabinet picks against investigation, even when they clearly had lied.

His claims about Obama were proven false.  What will his next big claim uncover?
